Theatre Curtain

Curtain in progress.

We were pleased to assist a theatre for which we have both spent many seasons working on costumes - the Orlando Shakespeare Theater.

This time, we were asked to help build the main drape for the set for the repertory production of Shakespeare in Love / Twelfth Night for the theater’s 29th season. We started with 66 yards of fabric and 28 yards of gold bullion fringe for the bottom. It was constructed with 200% fullness, pleated onto webbing at the top. It measured 16' by 28' when completed.

Cruise Line Production of Jersey Boys

We were contacted by ArtSquad to help with some soft goods needed for scenic and prop elements for a production of Jersey Boys. This included upholstering a convertible couch/bed, covering two benches, and creating an embroidered organ cover. Anything that brings us back to our theatre roots reminds us of the skills and techniques we developed years ago.
